Nice Guys Are Winners Before the Game Ever Starts

I watched a video sent by a friend of mine, where there is this one chinese lady being robbed by a group of men on a broad daylight! It was frightening, I can't imagine having a house of my own with a situation like this. It is not save anymore outside there. You can no longer trust anybody, yet trusting a stranger.

There was some time in my life that I don't believe the above title. Good men don't exist. Hell is paved with good samaritans, just like William Holden said.

But one day, my dad came home before he realized that he left his wallet, probably in a public toilet in Bangsar. He went back there only to find out it was not there anymore. There was somewhat like RM1000 plus in his wallet, plus very important cards and infos in it. There is nothing much we could do. We tried to track his way back to the last place he remembered the wallet with him, but to no avail it was nothing.

It was night already, and we were prepared to make a police report, before suddenly my dad received a phone call from a stranger.

"Encik nih Gazali ke?"
"Ye saya."
"Encik ada hilang wallet tak?"
"Ada2."
"Wallet encik ada pada saya nih. Saya ada dkt Cheras. Dtg la amik."

We waited no more. We rushed there and several minutes later we arrived and being greeted by a young man in his 20's.

"Encik Gazali ye? Nih ha wallet encik. Sori laa saya selongkar nak carik no phone. Saya dah call byk nombor semua kata bukan. Nasib baik jumpa nombor nih."

We felt so grateful. My dad checked his wallet, and all the money plus the cards were all there. Feeling thankful, my dad gave RM100 to that young man, but he politely refuse to except it.

"Ikhlas bang."

But I thought, why??

He answered me, "Saya nak tunjukkan dalam dunia nih ada lg org baik. Jadik saya mulakan dgn diri saya dulu."

Well, I was stunned. I never thought good men still exist. I thought they always finish last.

Come to think of it, I have met them myself several times before, especially when my bike broke down in the middle of nowhere. My bike got it tyre punctured at least once every month! And to my surprise, everytimes it happen, there will always somebody will stopped by and offered their helps. And sometimes, they knew nothing much they could do about it, but still they will stopped by and asked if anything that they can do.

I believe it now. It's not true that nice guys finish last. Nice guys are winners before the game ever starts. I believe, if you want somebody to do something, especially something good, you must start it with yourself.

Football Random Rant Part 1

The best striker
Fernando Torres of course, at the moment. Although he bagged only 9 goals so far this season, still for me he is the best. And you want to know why?

The first rule to be a striker is, you must score, plus Fernando Torres scored crucial goals. A very important goal in a very important match, for example the first goal against Chelsea which they won by 2 - 0, and the first goal against Man U. That was a very important goal. After being down 0 - 1, he single handedly overcome Vidic and van der Sar to level up, definitely boost up his teammates morale.

And he is very dangerous up front. You can play him long ball, or short passes, and still he can create chances. You can play him single striker, or pair him with another striker, he can play as backup, or top, he can assists (and of course he can scores), he has a very good understanding with teammates, he can dribbles, he can heads, so what is the right word you might say? P.E.R.F.E.C.T!

The worst defender
Fabricio Collocini of Newcastle United. Seriously, I don't have any idea why the fuck Newcastle kept playing him in the first eleven. He is the worst ever! The loosing goal against Man U, his mistake. 2 goals from Arsenal, him again, and the latest of his contribution, the first goal against Chelsea last 2 nights. His late clearance pay Newcastle a price. A big price!

To be a good central defender, one must never trust anybody, especially his teammates. You just need to clear the ball, clear the ball God damn it! And whatever the price, he must prevent the ball from goes in, even at the cause of his life!

As for reference, John Terry is a good example of a good central defender. And Vidic (before the Liverpool game of course).

How to Celebrate Earth Hour, Waste RM22 and One Hour of Your Life at the Same Time

Try fishing udang harimau. Sighh...

I was bored that Saturday. Dead bored. It was like the highest point of boredom. Got myself two days leave, with nothing to do because it was raining cats and dogs for two straight days, everybody seems to be so lazy to even steps out of their house, plus thunder and lightning strikes every two minutes which prevented me to be online.

And lastly I ended up fishing udang harimau near my house with a friend of mine, while waiting for everybody to shutdown their lights. Surprisingly, nobody did so though, although I believe everybody is aware about the campaign. At least I am.

And unsurprisingly, we catch none. There goes my RM22 and 1 hour of my life, just like that. How easy nowadays to waste your money, but still, it is better than lying on the bed alone doing nothing.

Movie Talk part 2

I am a great admirer of Bryan Singer's works. I mean, he is brilliant when he had his hand on the camera. His masterpiece, The Usual Suspects, is the greatest of his works I believe. Man, who can ever forget when Verbal Kint walked out of the police station cripple, and slowly the cripple gone, then came a car, a man came out and light him a cigar, he put one leg in the car, look outside for a while, puff a little bit, and gone off. Man, I was like, what the fuck???? That was brilliant! That was awesome! The same feeling when you find out how Andy Dufresne escape from the prison in Shawshank Redemption, and the same feeling you found out Bruce Willis is actually dead already in Six Sense. Fucking brilliant!

And that's not all. I just love the whole movie actually. How he played with the background songs, the scripts, I just love a movie with good lines.

"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone."

I don't actually know where the lines were originally from, but the first time I heard it was in the movie. Catchy eh?

And I love his other works too. X-Men, X-2, Superman Returns, I love it all.

I am glad he was brought in to direct Superman, because the original director's version, Brett Retner, is like a super crap.

"Abrams story re-imagined Superman as a Kryptonian prince sent to earth as a baby to avoid an impending civil war between king Jor-El and his brother Kata-Zor. Raised as Midwestern teen Clark Kent, and in love with his high school sweetheart Lois, Superman becomes humanity's defender when Kata-Zor invades Earth, aided by CIA Agent Lex Luthor, who is actually a Kryptonian in disguise. The film ended with Superman returning to Krypton to rule over his people after the death of Jor-El." (www.imdb.com)

Are you kidding me?? That's not Superman Returns! That is Super Faggot Kicking-His-Uncle-Ass-To-Become-A-King Returns! Brett Retner loves to do something bombastic. Look what he did to X-Men 3. Freaking lame. I hate it.

And I just love the Bryan Singer's version. How the emotional retention between Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane, and the background musics. One of my favourites scene, when Lois was trapped together with his fiance and son in the boat, all hope was lost, before suddenly Superman steps on the boat, and brought it up over the sea. And then the Superman's theme song slowly blend in.. brilliant. And also the scene after he throw that huge rock to the sun, he fell down, everybody just watching helplessly, and then Boomm! He hits the ground. I was silence. No background songs or any lines can be heard.

And the lines, I just love it.

Lex Luthor: Do you know the story of Prometheus? No, of course you don't. Prometheus was a god who stole the power of fire from the other gods and gave control of it to the mortals. In essence, he gave us technology, he gave us power.
Kitty Kowalski: So we're stealing fire? In the Arctic?
Lex Luthor: Actually, sort of. You see whoever controls technology controls the world. The Roman empire ruled the world because they built roads. The British empire ruled the world because they built ships. America; the atom bomb. And so on and so forth. I just want what Prometheus wanted.
Kitty Kowalski: Sounds great Lex, but you're not a god.
Lex Luthor: [fixes Kitty with an icy stare] Gods are selfish beings who fly around in little red capes and don't share their power with mankind. No, I don't want to be a *god*. I just want to bring fire to the people. And... I want my cut. (www.imdb.com)

How fucking awesome is that?

But of course, the movie lack of characters strength. Nothing much memorable about the character, not something you can remember like Forrest Gump, General Maximus Decimus Meridius, Chuck Noland of Cast Away, or even Captain Jack Sparrow.

Sadly, I have no idea why the rating was so low in IMDB. 6.7. That low. Or am I just sucker for low Q movies? Ha Ha.

At the moment, his latest movie, Valkyrie is on the show right now. Surprisingly I am not tempted to go and watch, not tempted at all. Wait for the torrent then I guess?

Rant of the Week

Today, we shall review on the latest news that arose around us.

The political turmoil in Perak.
Sighh... too tired to even listen to this. So, i'll pass.

Dewan Rakyat Tun for P.Ramlee?
I think this is inappropriate. What makes the different if you give Tun to him anyway? He is already dead if you haven't notice. You guys in Dewan Rakyat give titles to people so easily. Wait. The royalties money will go double? Something fishy is going on here.

PPSMI is not relevant?
Some people thinks PPSMI is not relevant to be implemented, especially if you relate it with the students in kampung or luar bandar. If you ask me, I say PPSMI is a mere experiment. Thats it. You will never know the good and the bad, until you do it and get the result. If you even ask Tun M., i bet you he did not know the answer. But he believes, this is the shortcut for us to become a first-world country. He believes, in order for us to pursue the one to be pursuit, we must run faster that it, thus, the we can't use the same method as what it has been used. Some unthinkable methods might be the right one. I say, go for it!

Bajet mini RM10b
Pass!!

AF7
Frankly speaking I only watched AF2, which is the best yet ever of it. AF7, if they still maintain the same concept where students can't sing and perform, but depend on symphatetic crap as always, you gonna say bye bye to many of it fans. We got tired already with the same shit. Give us some other shit that worth smelling!

Manure gonna win 5 cups this season?
You can dream on Manure! (But my heart was thumping like a herd of galloping horses when they won the League Cup the other day. Stupid Spurs. That's why I hated Spurs.)

Raja Shahirah got married
The daughter of Datuk Raja Kamarul Bahrin, we kidnapped his own daughter from her mother in Australia, and sailed back to Malaysia single handedly, got married yesterday. (Is this a hot issues worth mentioning?) She's hot! (You God damn right it's worth mentioning!) Mak dia omputeh dowhh, what can you expect?

Global Economic Crisis?
All I can say is that, if you got money, which means extra money that you don't know what else to do with it, then give it to me. Blerghh.. Nope instead, this is the right time to invest. And of course this is not the right time to quit your job.

ps: This weekend gonna be a boring one.

Guus Hiddink Is The Best Coach In The World?

So Chelsea won 2-1 against Wigan last night. No I'm not a fan of Chelshit, that's why I call it "Chelshit", not "Love Chels" or whatever. And I'm not gonna talk about Chelshit too. Who in the world would ever listen to somebody talk about shit anyway?

But me gonna talk about Guus Hiddink, their current manager at the moment.

I believe he is a great coach. Clubs and national level, he is great at both of it. Just look at his impressive resume. He brought Holland to the semi of World Cup 98, barely lost to Brazil on penalty shootouts. I was a very beautiful game, I witnessed it, and it was one of the best game I ever watched.

Perhaps he was most remembered in 2002, where he leaded South Korea to the World Cup 2002 semi final. But if you ask me again, I say it was much because of luck, but still an impressive achievement you can be proud of.

In 2006, he took over Australia National team for only 6 months before the big tournament, the team nearly eliminated during the qualifying, but somehow he manage to save it and brought the Aussies to the World Cup for the first time after 32 years. They even scored their first goal, and manage to proceed to the 2nd round for the first time in their history.

And then, in 2008, he brought Russia to as far as semi final in Euro 2008, although in the early campaign, the team looked quite fragile especially after their lost to Israel by 1-2. He is the responsible person for the rise of Russian stars like Pavlyuchenko and Andrei Arshavin.

And now, he is the caretaker of team Chelsea.. erm I mean Chelshit. The first 2 games looks good, with a win against Juventus and Wigan.

Okay enough of his history already. The main question is, is he really the greatest football coach in the world at the moment? Is he?

The answer is, I don't think so. Wait until he be the head coach of Malaysia, only then he will know the real world of amateur football. Wait, doesn't Malaysia's football goes professional already? Who the fuck cares, they played like a sissy girl anyway.

And wait until he can take Malaysia to the World Cup, only then I will hail him as the best coach in the world. Until then, we will wait.

But maybe we will die waiting.

Show Off!!

This gonna be short, as I blogging this using my iPhone 3G via wifi at midvalley. Hahaha. Gile berlagak kan?

Well come to think of it, if u compare the basic features with other phones, there were nothing great about this phone. Cannot video call, cannot forward SMS, cannot mms, to name a few. And it kinda hard to type the SMS though.

However, there were plenty of software being shared through iTunes, which makes it great. One of the family favourite is that stupid fishing game. I can heard the whole night the sounds of the fishing rotor, as my younger brother hooked up to it every night now. Damn.

Besides, now u can even jailbreak it and install third party software, which on other way solve the SMS and mms problem! But still, nothing can be done about the video call though. No front camera maaa. Jk wat camne? Tp aku x jailbreak lg. Going to, lps puas aku lenjan bende nih dulu.

Anyway, it is highly recommended but sadly it's kinda hard to find one in Malaysia at the moment. Kalo ade pun mahal nk mampus. Kt digital mall pj, jejak RM3200 for the 8 Gig! Gilos.

Ok geng need to go.
